Elvan Ünlütürk

Chairperson of the Board

She was born in Izmir. After completing her secondary education at Izmir American High School, she graduated from Ege University Textile Engineering Department in 1992.

She started her professional career as an Assistant Customer Representative at Yaşar Holding Tekstil in 1991. In 1992, she started working as an Assistant Customer Representative at Sun Tekstil and worked as Human Resources Officer, Production Planning, Sales Manager and General Manager. She currently continues to serve as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Sun Tekstil and Jimmy Key.

She is a member of AIESEC Board of Advisors, TAİDER, KALDER, TÜSİAD, EİB and other business organizations. She was a member of the Board of Directors of TÜSİAD and EİB. In the last 10 years, Elvan Ünlütürk has served as Vice President of UN Global Compact Network Turkey, Vice President of TÜSİAD Development Policies Round Table, President of TÜSİAD Social Policies Round Table and President of EİB Promotion Committee.

Sabri Ünlütürk

Vice Chairperson of the Board

Born in Istanbul. After completing his high school education in Söke and Buca High School, he graduated from the Faculty of Geological Engineering at Ege University, in 1980.

He founded Sun Tekstil with his brother Sedat Şükrü Ünlütürk in 1987 and continues his position as the Vice Chairperson of the Board at Sun Tekstil.

He has held various positions as President of EGSD, Vice President of the Aegean Apparel Exporters’ Association, President of TARGEV, Supervisory Board Member at TİM, President of the Aegean Textile and Raw Materials Exporters’ Association, and President of the Aegean Exporters’ Associations (EİB).

He currently serves as a Board Member of the Aegean Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals Exporters’ Association, a member of the Board of Trustees at the İzmir University of Economics, Chairman of the Board of İzmir BilimPark and Torbalı Composite and Furniture OIZ.

Melis Vekiloğlu

Managing Director
Board Member

Melis Vekiloğlu, born in İzmir, completed her undergraduate education in 2000 by graduating from the Business Administration Department of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Dokuz Eylül University.

She began her career at Sun Tekstil in 2001 and has been appointed to various positions including Assistant Sales Representative, Sales Representative, Product Development Specialist, Office Manager, Team Leader, and Assistant General Manager. She continues to serve as General Manager, a role she assumed in 2016.

She is a Board Member of the Aegean Ready-to-Wear and Apparel Exporters’ Association and a Council Member of the TOBB Turkish Clothing and Apparel Industry Assembly.

Aydın Öztürk

Board Member

Aydın Öztürk completed his undergraduate degree by graduating from the Department of Textile Engineering at Ege University in 1991. He started his career as a Production Engineer at Söktaş in 1992. In September of the same year, he moved to Sun Tekstil and continued his career as Production Engineer at Sun Tekstil Knitting Unit.

From 1995 to 2000, he worked as Knitting and Dyeing Unit Manager at Sun Tekstil Knitting Unit. In 2000, as a result of Ekoten Tekstil’s partnership with Sun Tekstil as being Sun Tekstil’s subsidiary, he assigned as the General Manager of Ekoten Tekstil. He continues to work as General Manager and is also a member of the Board of Directors of Ekoten Tekstil. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Aegean Textile and Raw Materials Exporters’ Association, which is a part of the Aegean Exporters’ Associations.

İdil Türkmenoğlu

Independent Board Member

Elif İdil Türkmenoğlu, who graduated from Kadıköy Anatolian and Boğaziçi Business Administration Department, received on-the-job training at Bank of America, received her Strategic HR certificate from Wharton, completed her graduate studies in Applied Psychology at Istanbul Commerce University and studied “Positive Management” at the University of Michigan. She worked in Doğuş Group and Boyner Group, and continues to provide consultancy to organizations on strategic management, sustainability, human resources, and organizational development, while also serving as a board member in various institutions. She currently serves as an Independent Board Member at Sun Tekstil.

Her first book, “Ofis Hikayeleri”, was published by Epsilon in November 2005. Her book “Pozitif Yönetim”, which has reached its eighth edition, was published by Elma Publishing. Her other works, “Kurumsal İç İletişim” and “Torpil Değil Networking” (co-authored with Işıl Taysever), were published in 2019. “Kurumsallaş(ma)” was published in the winter of 2023, followed by “4530 Merkez – Workplace Homicides” at the end of 2024.

She is listed among the Top 50 CHROs. She is a member of SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) and the International Positive Psychology Association (IPPA), and serves as a Board Member of the Child Psychology Association.

Murat Sağman

Independent Board Member

Murat Sagman was born in 1972, in Paris. He graduated from Galatasaray High School in 1992. He completed his studies in Economics and Finance with honors at Sorbonne University in France. He also completed his master’s degree in Banking and Finance at Sorbonne University, graduating with distinction.

He has held various positions at Crédit Lyonnais Treasury Department in Paris, the Paris Stock Exchange Research Department, Alfa Securities Treasury Department in Türkiye, the Nasdaq Stock Market in the USA, Broadway Trading, Refco in Paris, Akbank Private Banking, Finansbank Private Banking, and Azimut Notus Portfolio Management.

He is the founder of Sagam Strategy Consulting. He has served as a Member of the Board of Directors of Galatasaray Marketing Inc. and Galatasaray TV Broadcasting. He is a Board Member of FODER (Financial Literacy and Inclusion Association) and has served as a Member of TÜSİAD’s Economic Analysis Working Group. He is the Chairperson of the Jury of Investimate, Türkiye’s largest virtual portfolio management competition.
